I went for my driving revision today at 8.35am and did my warm up for driving test at 10.45am. So in total, I practiced the circuit three times and three different test routes. For the warm up, my heart almost dropped out because it’s like so near my test time. It’s the final practice before I attempt my driving test.
After the warm up, the instructor brought me up to the third level gave me a short briefing before I waited for the testers to come and conduct the briefing and ballot of which route I should be taking. When I knew the route and which instructor was taking me, I waited patiently for him but even at 11.45am the time where I was supposed to start the test, the instructor wasn’t even out. I was really nervous thinking that is it that the tester forgot all about me. Finally, he popped out of his office and ask me to proceed to my car and he will join me slowly.
In the car, I did all I was taught on how to move off and stuffs. I did all that but was perspiring. This is the first time I experienced extreme stress while driving alright. The first test item was vertical parking. I did a right turn into the area where the parking lot was.
Vertical parking was perfect and he asked me to turn right out. Suddenly he stepped the brake while I was turning out. I knew that it wasn’t my fault and he asked me to reverse and do parking. Deep in my heart I was like thinking, vertical parking again? But now it’s from right side in. During my practice I didn’t do that. I thought I’m going to fail for sure. Then I heard the tester telling me to position myself to do parallel parking. Phew!! Praise God.
Parallel parking was another sweet victory for me because the car went in nicely. When I was reversing out, I heard something from the boot. Then I saw the hind pole was shaking. And awhile later, the pole fell. As the pole fell, my heart really sank. Hello, ten demerit points in the circuit for that. The tester scolded me and after that I proceed.
Seriously after that, I don’t know what I was doing. I became really reckless and I just thought that since I’m going to fail I couldn’t be bothered. Next thing he told me, we will be going out the circuit. Then in my heart I was thinking, hello not yet tested on directional change and some other stuff. So I thought I failed.
On the road, I did some mistakes too and sometimes he stepped my brake. Now I tell you it’s confirm a gone case. I said gone case!! Haha!! When I got back to the circuit, he instructed me to park within the yellow box but I couldn’t be bothered and was scolded for that. When I got out of the car, I saw an instructor asking the tester how I did but he didn’t answer. Alright, now I confirm plus chop it’s a gone case.
I proceeded to the debrief room feeling down and after talking to me for a while, I was surprised that he wrote sixteen demerit points. Sixteen demerit points? Which means I passed. Hallelujah!! Praise the Lord!! I’m the first person I know knock down pole still can pass. This is definitely the grace of God.
For the entire day, I just felt so loved by God and I guess I forgot to say something. I requested for no pedestrian and no cars plus fine weather. God gave me all that alright. It’s amazing that the road was so empty during lunch time. Whoo!! All glory to Jesus!!
